Ground facts

Here are some facts about the club's new stadium:

3,000 capacity stadium

It will incorporate a main stand, two covered terraces, club house, changing rooms and parking

Close to Maidstone town centre and the River Medway

Easy links to the M20 and M2

Two mainline train stations (Maidstone Barracks and Maidstone East) within walking distance

Other information:

The stadium will provide a much-needed sporting facility for Maidstone. As well as the home of The Stones, it will also be used by community and youth teams.

Car parking at the ground will be limited. There are some on-street parking bays in James Whatman Way and nearby pay and display car parks at the Fremlin Walk Shopping Centre and Kent County Council's Invicta House.

Car parking will be available on non-matchdays for visitors to the nearby Whatman Park. The popular park does not have refreshment facilities, providing the MUFC club house with business opportunities throughout the week during the spring and summer.

The stadium will be next to the home of Maidstone Invicta Rowing Club.

Other nearby places of interest, other than the 18-acre Whatman Park, include a LA Fitness Centre and Maidstone Canoe Club.
